Meeting of the LISS (lichens in South East Scotland) group

Date: Tuesday June 6th

Time: starting at 10 am with the day finishing at approximately 15.30

Location: Langhaugh Tunnel, Dollar Forest and Sting Burn, plus Horsehope Forest

A return to this location for the LISS group to search for lichens new to the area and for people to work on improving their knowledge of the lichens present.

Highlights from the visits in 2022 included Cladonia humilis, Placopsis lambii, Stereocaulons, Hypotrachyna sinuosa, Dibaeis baeomyces, Ionaspis lacustris, Placopyrenium fuscellum, Rhizocarpon petraeum, Sphaerophorus globosus, and in Horsehope Forest Lichenomphalia umbellifera.
