A lichen walk in Phaer Park, Exmouth (Devon) delivered by April Windle from the British Lichen Society on behalf of the Exmouth Tree Project. This will be a short walk around an urban park, providing a introduction to lichens and some of the common lichens you can expect to see within towns and cities. Thursday 7th July 2022 10am - 3pm. Join Pat and Kathy in conversation to explore how lichens function as a community of different organisms cooperating in a symbiotic relationship. Lichens are both extremely sensitive, yet some can also survive in extreme conditions. They respond to environmental conditions, including the impact of human activity.
