Location: Marlborough Deep, south of Little Wootton Inclosure, New Forest, meet at the car park in Brown Hill Inclosure SZ226 994.

Details: a meeting to explore an overlooked patch of old pasture woodland with lichen rich old trees on the edge of a large old marl pit complex, along with associated heathland habitats. The site is in SZ29, a less recorded 10km square with fewer old trees than the rest of the New Forest, so needs detailed recording. Bring a packed lunch and stout footwear (the marl pits are muddy in places). Please email Neil Sanderson if you intend to attend, in case there is any need to cancel for weather etc.
