General Description
A non-lichenised fungus mainly found on the bark of Bog Myrtle, but also reported from Alder, Birch and Rowan. The perithecia are dark green with a fringe of pale bark around the edge. The spores are three septate, with the the second cell somewhat enlarged and constricted at the septa. Ubiquitous in heaths, bogs and moorland where Bog Myrtle is frequent.
