General Description

A Lichenicolous fungus only recorded from Orcularia insperata in Europe. The pycnidia can form distinctive galls on the disk of its host. Separated from other Lichenodiplis species by the long conidia, which are 6 – 10 x 3 – 4 µm, other species of Lichenodiplis have conidia > 6 µm long (Diederich, 2003).
