Lecidea subhumida

A rare specialist of hard pine lignum in open old growth pine woods (pine bones), with distinctly glossy, reddish brown to brown-black apothecia, which soon become convex. With a thallus of dark olive grey to brownish distinct granules. Recorded from native pine woods in Deeside and Strath Spey. Appears to be an internationally rare species.
