General Description
Described in 2018 as Caloplaca sol, it is found on vertical or overhanging, dry, sunny faces on costal limestone or base-rich siliceous cliffs and boulders above the splash zone. It resembles Flavoplaca marina, which more frequent found in the splash zone, but is a brighter yellow. See https://doi.org/10.1017/S0024282918000142 for more detail.
