Cladonia convoluta

Very similar to Cladonia foliacea, but with squamules over at least 1.5cm long, and typically found in limestone grassland, but with similar material found on sheltered coastal habitats. Now regarded as simply a large morph of Cladonia foliacea, however, for the time being, forms of Cladonia foliacea with long strap-like squamules over 2cm long should continue to be recorded separately from Cladonia foliacea.
