1. Lichen ID and Basic microscopy. Intermediate level1. The course is designed for people who have some experience of lichens e.g. have completed a LABs courses (Lichens for Absolute Beginners) or similar. It will focus on field ID and include an introduction to microscopy. Delivered by April Windle. Local Co-ordinator Pete Martin. The course will be held at the Blencathra FSC Centre in Cumbria. 2. Microscope techniques, focusing on crustose lichens. Intermediate level 2 The course is designed for people who have a compound microscope, which they are confident in using, but who wish to develop microscopic techniques. Delivered by David Hill. Local co-ordinator Mark Stephens. The course will be held at Preston Montford Field Studies Centre. Dates: 30th Sept (4.00ish)- 3rd Oct (4.00ish)
3. Southern Heathland Lichens. Intermediate level 2 / Advanced-Intermediate. The course will focus on Cladonia ID and lichens on southern heathland. Delivered by Neil Sanderson. The course will be held at Tilefield Equestrian Centre, Brockenhurst, New Forest. Dates: 23rd and 24th March
4. Difficult corticolous crusts. Advanced. The course will cover both fertile and sterile crusts. Delivered by Neil Sanderson. The course will be held at Tilefield Equestrian Centre, Brockenhurst, New Forest. Dates: 1st Nov ( 9.00am)- 3rd Nov (4.00pm)
